Manager, Email Marketing

The Email Marketing Manager is a key member of the marketing team and reports to the CEO. You are responsible for conceptualizing new marketing initiatives impacting retention efforts and the optimization of reactivation programs for churned users.

Objectives:

  • Oversee the strategy, development & execution of email campaigns
  • Own and drive analytics for the email marketing program
  • Lead strategic thinking, analysis and development of a customer driven segmentation
  • Lead email team through the development and implementation of a communications program based on customer lifecycle
  • Create, refresh, and design email templates in HTML to be compatible on different email clients, web browsers, and mobile
  • Work in team environment with other Marketers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and account managers
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting on email performance
  • Execute ongoing testing regimen (subject lines, layout, format, frequency, etc.) to continuously improve email performance focused on user engagement
  • Work with third party email software provider to manage, execute, optimize email campaigns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration or a related field; Masters in Marketing or Business Administration, or equivalent, preferred
  • 3+ years of email channel experience, with hands on experience building and deploying promotional and transactional emails
  • Advanced HTML/CSS skills
  • Experience with Photoshop and the Creative Cloud suite
  • Strong communication and team skills
  • Strong data analytics capabilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with the creative, product, data & engineering teams
  • Flexibility to work late nights and weekends, if necessary
