Video Editor, Mobile Marketing

Hush is a top 10 shopping app (beauty vertical) based in downtown LA. We’re looking for a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our Marketing Creative Team (Direct Response). You are an expert using Adobe After Effects and Premier to produce engaging video creatives for our direct response advertisements.

This is a key role for our team as the marketing creatives will have a direct impact on our ability to scale our revenue. We are looking for someone who is data-driven and able to think critically about why certain types of content resonates well with our audiences. The Editor must be a native of the digital and pop cultural landscapes with intimate knowledge of the latest and greatest in social media and emerging technology/platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute on video content for Hush’s marketing campaigns on a variety of social platforms (FB properties, YT, Snap)
  • Quickly edit, process, and ship user generated video content to build a pipeline of high performing direct-response advertisements
  • Make data-inferred conclusions about a creative’s outcome
  • Create creative, fun, and shareable content that people who like and share across Facebook and Instagram
  • Keep track of viral trends across all verticals, create content around them, and analyze the results of your work
  • Successfully produce concurrent and competing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Help improve workflow and advocate best practice
  • Ability to solve problems and communicate feedback to external teams

Your background and who you are:

  • 3+ years experience creating engaging video promotions or viral videos on social platforms
  • Proficient in the use of editing and compositing software such as Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop
  • Excellent sense of pace and timing, a knowledge for the best ways to grab viewers, and a sense for how to tell a powerful story in as little time as possible
  • A love of experimentation and trying to tell stories in new and different ways
  • A scrappy competitive drive -- you enjoy winning and really going for it no matter what tools you are provided with
  • Experience at a social-media native media publisher is a huge plus. (POPSUGAR, BuzzFeed, etc)
  • Flexibility to work late nights and weekends, if necessary
