Social Media Manager

Based in sunny downtown Los Angeles, Hush brings beauty lovers a fun way to shop online and discover new beauty products that fit any budget. We’re looking for a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of social media platforms, and experience with planning, writing and creating content. They should have exceptional project management skills, be current with relevant trends, have a love for the beauty industry, good problem-solving skills and thrive in a dynamic environment. This role will play a key part in driving customer loyalty and retention by successfully launching and managing engaging and relevant campaigns. 


  • Manage Hush social media presence across various platforms including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube 
  • Create a robust content strategy to support Hush goals and merchandising objectives
  • Maintain a detailed calendar for the planning and management of all brand content
  • Maintain Hush voice and branding guidelines throughout all campaigns
  • Partner cross-functionally with buying, merchandising and creative teams in order carry to identify key product stories and campaigns
  • Measure, report, analyze, and optimize performance of content and campaigns
  • Identify new strategies, trends and tools to create innovative measures for continued growth
  • Successfully launch and manage giveaways/sweepstakes to reach engagement and acquisition goals
  • Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends, new platforms and best practices


  • Love for the beauty industry!
  • College degree: BS/BA in Journalism, Marketing or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years social media management experience and clear understanding of best practices; retail and beauty industry experience preferred
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, 
  • Passion for social media, content creation and storytelling – bonus if you’re comfortable speaking on camera (Instagram stories, etc.)
  • Basic graphic design skills, working experience with Photoshop
  • Strong organizational and project management skills – Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail and hands-on when it comes to writing/proofing content and managing campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends in beauty and online content marketing
