Develop and refine color cosmetic formulas, including color matching, troubleshooting, stability testing, and other activities related to formulation development such as monitoring quality and conformity of formulas with final commercial packaging

Formulate various types of pigmented cosmetic products: powders (dry/loose), creams, gels, hot pours (sticks)

Develop prototype formulas from via reverse engineering and improve existing formula technologies

Translate lab scale batches to develop industrial scale processing procedures

Possess strong understanding of raw materials and translating that knowledge into formulating effective products. Identify raw materials and technologies suitable for product development

Receive, document, and organize incoming raw materials and samples

Submit formulas for analytical, microbiology and safety testing, as needed

Prepare ingredient listings and proofread ILs & artwork

Attend trade shows and SCC, BIW meetings as necessary to broaden knowledge

Maintain a laboratory notebook and follow lab procedures with attention to details

Be obsessed with product quality and performance
